we have been talking about this for weeks. Pacer needs time to finish up things at work then he gonna get shit crackin. Our best bet would be to tweak the "BATTLE MOD" because it offers more than just the multijump mod.

I didn't know 'every' or any page was littered with animations? LOL

We've been talking about it for more like months.... The Battlemod and it's variations are cocka for what I want on Server 1. It's nearly ten times the size of the current Bangin Edition by Pacer.  In a ported game with server-side memory leaks on a hardware platform plagued with memory issues I'd personally prefer not to have 500K+ Mutators if I can avoid it. Perhaps when we decide which one (X-Jump) to go with it can be packaged with both.

Speaking of size and design flaws, I need to show you how to better manage images when you're making posts.  90% of the DM Map Pics need to be given a link, compressed or in some cases converted to Jpeg.  The best way is I'll show you how to do a mass convert of the existing posts/images which I've done to the Warfare Maps with the exception of I think Advantafe. Anyway, from doing it on a large scale you'll get it conceptually to easily follow best practices for posting going forward. We also need to discuss the new format and back-end triggers for posting Downloads so you know how to control when where content is displayed easier. I'll b in touch.

Your Input could be better if..

Pacer I think your input could be better received if it was at one of our confrence calls. Its a little difficult to take someones critique after spending hours coming up with content and researching options for our site. No disrespect but Duragesic has done a ton of work involved with this project. As you have been with the mods. I think there are a few people who are doing alot, and some who could do a little more. But lets try to be more conscious of peoples time and efforts before posting what you like and how you think it should be done. Some people may be a little more sensative about their work than others. And as one of the people working on the site we will be more forthcoming with confrence dstes and  times to get more input from more clan members. We definetly would appreciate it. We have just been doing things on the fly, bouncing ideas off each other. Pacer your a pretty intelligant guy as is Eric, if you two could get some time to confrence I'm sure alot could be accomplished. We want everyone to be happy with our place on the web. We would like to have the most bitchin site around. Btw I already have other clans contacting us about our site and how well its been coming along and asking for our help with theirs. So the goal of our site has already shown fruit. We are providing a services and people are using them which is a great thing in my opinion. Its also showing people that basically GOW is all about the community.

FYI ... In the last 3 days I've already held conferences with Teckniec, JPinator, Dakilla & Warhore to provide some tips and tricks for the site.  I think there are a few beneficial lessons (tricks) for everyone to learn.  Noot also knows 90% of it by now.

Pacer, you should check your own blogs and HTML Coding before critiquing a COMMENT POSTED at 3:30AM that says right in there that it was SILLY.  After adding crucial sections to the site and fixing up two of your own blogs to display correctly & linking it to the original PC Clan Thread to maintain coherence; it was a little disappointing to see an inaccurate critique like that.  (Your PC Blog didn't have certain tags closed, causing the add a comment & continue links to be shown way off to the right - outside the lines - very confusing.  It's not even a big deal, I fixed both without even saying anything and left revisions for you to revert back to if you wish.)

Bottom line is - let's keep it productive and constructive in terms of criticism.  Additionally, hold off on conveying tone in a message - that's best left for a conference (we've been doing it on PSN) unless of course you're roasting someone - a certain non-clan member comes to mind.... I'm actually not accusing you of a harsh tone - I'm just mentioning this important fact for anyone who's reading.

You and I should start working together more so we're on the same page & can progress more efficiently.  I do share your desire for a minimalistic site and I have been playing with some new ideas to achieve such a style. Input from several users has already molded some of those ideas. Let me know when you're free in the next week or so and I'll arrange something. A solid hour would be nice - I'll use the PSEye as I've been with everone else. Finally, these comments will be re-located shortly to a more relevant area. I'll leave shadow copy's.  The same goes for my rants in your Clan Battle Hosting Post - I am going to turn that into what it should be - a list of requirements for a fair battle against the GOW....

New Degree

I've been working on mods and made several changes to Degree which is sort of my  experimentation mod.  Here are some of the changes.

1) 5 seconds of invulnerability after spawning (increased from the default 2 seconds). This is meant to reduce spawn killing.

3) Added quad jump and boosted normal jump height by 50%.

3) Moved weapons to their own mutator (see below).  Just makes it easier to mix and match.

4) Translocator no longer has camera mode... it was a cool trick but it tended to mess people up more than it helped.

5) New mutator GOWShock replaces UNK Rifle.  Primary fire is still fast but does much less damage.  Secondary fire, however, is now paladin bolt... super deadly... but it takes off 10 ammo points out of 150 max.  This may still be a bit too much.

6) New mutator GOWSnipe replaces the UltraRifle... nothing else new.

I also figured out why some mods are much bigger than others however it is not always possible to avoid the bloat... but in the case of GOWShock and GOWSnipe, I was able to cut them down significantly.  I'm still working on cutting down the size of Degree... easy if I remove the translocator which I probably will since that's one of the things some people don't like (I dig it though).

stop teasing me!!! is that an idea or is it already done?

Maybe we should think about changing the fire rate on the sniper to one constant speed. If u want to take advantage of the most powerful damage given by the sniper u have to camp, which is opposite of what are servers are(RUN N' GUN). Any thoughts on that?

snipe = camp

The sniper rifle is always going to be a camper's tool.  I like how you lose some of your power with that weapon when you're moving or, more importantly, when you're moved by another player's fire... otherwise there's no weakness.

The new shock makes a great run&gun weapon... maybe too good.

Map cook

Ok I have fixed the weapon locker in T-tower. But I tried to cook the map for ps3 to test but the userdata.jam only cookes to a file size of 33k. It seems its not cooking properly. Do you have to cook it for PC again before cooking it for PS3? Can someone  get on PSN and chat tonight???? Come on GOW_Enstein help a brotha out......

New Weapons

I had the opporunity to try out some of the new mods last night before the Celtics game started.

Modded Shock Rifle -Way too good. Even a hack like me can spray and pray with that gun and achieve a pretty high kill rate. As someone who can't aim for shit. I love it. As someone who appreciates a skilled opponent. I don't like it much. Is there any way to slow the rate of fire down a little?

When someone like Teckniec kills me with incredible shots, over and over. I can appreciate it and possibly learn from it. When one of the few players I am better than starts to own me. I get aggravated. I want to get beat by someones skill. Not their weapon.

Modded Sniper Rifle -I didn't use it. I can't aim to save my life so I stay away from Sniper Rifles. Any time I have tried to use them during a real game. I have hurt my team.

Jump Mods -I had a lot of fun with this one. Having the ability to jump to places without the jump boots can actually make older maps seem new again. You open up the possibilities as to where to run with the orb on almost every map. Gameplay is sped up by not having to deal with grabbing the jump boots before attacking a node with the orb.
