Thanks for getting back to me so quickly, Nootsac.  I was thinking that your clan might only be limited to expert players & might not be interested in noobs. I'm glad to see that your clan is willing to take a noob under its wing. I would like to play this coming Sunday (Oct. 12) and will look for the sign-up section on Friday.  Once I sign-up for Sunday - will you email me the exact time for the practice?  Also, how will I find your server on the PS3's version of UT3's list of multiplayer Warfare games on Sunday night?

I signed up for Sun. Oct. 12 Practice. I'm a PS3 player and am looking forward to receiving an email letting me know how to access your clans' server on the PS3 version of UT3 tomorrow night.

on Noot's warfare server:  GodsOfWarfare_2 - fight night.  Should be called that or something close to that.  I doubt it will be password protected or anything.  Just make sure you have all the maps we are playing tonite downloaded on your PS3.  Good to hear you are joining us tonight.  Hope you have a mic. 

Thanks for emailing me the info about Noot's server.  I was able to join his server last night & played  for about an hour on the red team with you, RY2722, Noot, & one other person.  Also, my PSN ID is JKar275 and not B5GkarNarn. I forgot to mention this fact in my posting on the GOW Forums.

I enjoyed playing with you guys very much and I look forward to playing again this coming Wednesday evening.  The only frustrating problem that I had was that my mic wasn't working properly because I was able to hear everyone on the red team - but no one seemed to be able to hear me.  I kept on yelling into my mic "can anyone hear me - this is JKar 275" but no one responded.  Now, I did in fact go into Audio Device Settings (under Accessory Settings) in the XMB & made sure that my mic was working properly there.  Also, during the game, I pressed the Start button & went into Settings & made sure that Voice Volume was set at 100%. 

Were there any another adjustment in Settings that I missed? 

Also, I've  played UT3 with other people before (such as Demon Slick) & my mic worked absolutely fine.  He can vouch for me.

Has anyone else in GOW had this same problem with their mic - where they can hear their teammates perfectly well  - but no one can hear them?

Finally, I apologize for moving the Nemesis off the Node (or Core) last night.  I didn't mean to mess things up for our team.

glad you made it =) yeah we figured that was you. too bad ur mic wasn't working : (  next time just try to reconnect to the server or if that doesnt work restart the system and check your audio settings again  (oh..make sure the mute voice button is turned off under UT audio settings. definitley gotta get that workin... communication is KEY!! c u next battle! (we have a clan match with SMP on wednesday night so it will be sunday)

Hi Killa!  Thanks for those tips for getting my mic to work.  I'm printing them out & will have them handy for next Sunday's game.  I liked those kamikaze hoverboards - especially the massive explosion when I tapped the L2 button & the extra high  jumping.  Good luck with your clan match this Wednesday & I'm looking forward to next Sunday!

I'm disappointed that I was unable to join your Practice server on the PS3 last night (Oct. 19) - because the loading screen that showed that it was trying to let me join the game never ended. I had to quit the game & then found out that it logged me out of the PSN.  I tried logging back in to the PSN & then starting UT3 again , then tried to join the game 3 times. I also tried shutting off the PS3, logging back in to the PSN, & then trying to get into the game. Nothing worked. 

Then I decided to look at your server's ping number. It was something around 480 - which I know from my experience in Warhawk is not a good thing.  I'm located in the Eastern time zone in the USA - so I'm guessing that the person who created the server is located in a time zone that is quite far away.

Anyone else experience the same problems that I've described?

If you were able to join other games but not GoW, then I don't know what that is. If you were unable to join any online games, then look for an error code when it logs you off, typically something like "8002AD23" or something. This happened to me, it turned out my acct name was not allowed. Long story short, I had to go back to using my other acct. Hope your problem is simpler. Also, FYI, I am in the Boston area and I have no problem with them even when ping shows on the list as 2500. Doesn't lag or anything. Pretty sure it's midwest somewhere. Hope that helps!    

No i think something is wrong with how the server is being setup. There have been a few people commenting on the servers ping lately. For me it use to be around 90ms to 150ms and now it sits at 400ms +. Its probably just a few router settings!!

Noot, maybe the IP address assigned to your server PS3 changed and it is no longer the DMZ machine. This is what caused my PC Listen server to fail after it was originally working. Check that your router's DMZ configuration is set to the same IP address as the PS3 server. I was able to force my router to reserve a specific IP address for my pc so the error will not crop up again... not that I need to host Listen servers anymore ;-)

Hi Slick!  I definitely was able to join many other online games last night without any problems. I absolutely did not receive any error codes when I got logged out of the PSN. I am familiar with the error codes that you're refering to though. I'm glad that you haven't had any problems joining the GOW games even when the ping is very high. I thank you for trying to help me out.

I appreciate your letting me know that I'm not the only one that has had a problem joining the GOW server.  Are you refering to my router settings or those of the person who is setting up the server?

sorry about that : ( maybe the server needed a reboot... thats helped connection propblems in the past. hope that doesnt happen again. (harms talking about noots router)

i've also noticed my ping being much higher than it use to be.. around 60-80. now i see it around 200-400
 

Hi guys! I've signed up for the Sun. Oct. 26 Practice & am looking forward to actually being able to join the server this time around .  I'll be using a new PSN ID - Jabra7 - (temporarily I hope) due to a problem with my PSN account under my normal PSN ID - JKar275.  I've solved the problem with my mic so I'm sure that I'll be able to communicate with everyone on my team.

Oh yeah!! lol I forgot. To much of that puff puff. Killa see if u can talk to jpinator or atx about what server we will be playing on. we played on vtek's pc dedicated ps3 server last night and it was very smooth. testing out 2 or 3 servers before hand is probly evryones best bet.

Does this mean that practice is cancelled for tomorrow night?
